Should she have left Mexico?

Anyone else get severely annoyed with Rose decided to go back to France at the end of the film? I just thought it was rather anti-climactic and almost a little out of character (well, no, it was definitely IN character, in that she has a tendency to follow guys like a puppy dog (see: Sergio), but it seemed out of line with the change that supposedly occured within her character). My girlfriend and I agreed that it would have been a much more satisfying ending if Felix had changed enough to want to commit to someone but Rose just listened to the message, said "that's nice" to herself, and went on with her new life. That or Felix got on a plane and met her there.

Or maybe it's just the "GRRL POWAH!" feminist in me. ;)

Well, yes, your new ending could work.....but I think that the movie-makers were going for a different angle.....
They were stuck in the hotel, and therefore they also should re-unite there.....who's to say what happens next....? A journey to Mexico.....perhaps...!?

yes, Could be, but I think what we have different ways to solve this love story and the writers decided this one.

I think she should have hung out there for a few days to think on it. And relax with her thoughts and then go back to him, and take him up on his invitation to see where the feelings will lead. I don't think you should cast off a possible love connection so easily. At least check it out. Just don't get stuck if it's not a healthy thing.

Yeah it was dumb.
She crossed a third of the world to establish herself in a different country, that's not a little decision, it's obviously something she had to think about for a bit... and then she just throws it away for a guy she's seen maybe 10 hours so far...
