Why are there still no ratings for this film?

A film has to have at least 5 votes on IMDb before the average ratings will show up (it says "awaiting 5 votes). Up till now five people have commented on the film, including myself, and all five of them have rated the film as well. So why are there still no ratings then??

I think it's because it hasn't had any official release-date, and the imdb doesn't accept votes that occur before that has happened (to avoid fanboys/girls upvoting a movie before it is officially release).

I guess film festival premieres are somewhat of a grey area, as the films can be viewed by thousands of people, without being officially released, as they are only screened for limited audiences, and not widely available.

Having said that though, I would think the movie's "official release" should've been it's first festival screening, actually.. whenever that was. Maybe somebody just needs to add the info, and then the votes should appear? I'd do it myself, if I only knew the exact date and location of the first screening.

Thanks, that makes sense. It crossed my mind too, but I remember in the past with other titles they'd show the ratings no matter if it had been releases.

But it does have an official first screening. You can look it up under "Release Dates" on the right side of the screen, and also directly below the title.

The first official screening was: 27 September 2012 at the Netherlands Film Festival (NFF) in the city of Utrecht, the Netherlands.

I've rated it, too (a 7).
