To get another actor. I'm not saying to re-do the whole freaking movie but just finish it up with someone who resembles River!

Why didnt they get a stand in like the crow bradon lee died while filming and it wasnt finish but they edit the film in a way that it was still a good movie now with all the speciel effects they can't finish this BS they don't want too itr problbly sucks.

that's what they did with poltergeist III. around the time of heather o'rourke's death, there were still some scenes to be shot. they almost didn't shoot it, but becuz of the company (probably warner bros.?)the filming had to continue. so in order for them to finish, they hired a stand-in. if u watch poltergeist III, you will see carol-anne's back to the camera. that is not heather, but rather a stand-in. the film is also dedicated to her as well.

I really think they should re-make the film and then put the River Phoenix version on the special features, I really wanna see River's last film.

It amazes me that buckets of money were wasted to completely redo the Exorcist prequel. But the idea would be quite logical here. Indeed, I'd be curious to see the movie completed with an new cast, and have the unfinished original as a bonus.
I really feel River was one of the finest actors of his generation, and his work shouldn't be abandoned and buried, even though it wasn't completed.

How about Joaquin doing a remake and like I said before; put the scenes River filmed in the special features.

I like that idea. I wonder if Joaquin would remake it? That would be so cool!!! But I don't know it's been what 12-13 yrs since he died --do you think they would do anything with the movie now?

i dont think that would be such a good idea to make joaquin remake the last film hes brother river ever made before he died dont u think it would be a tad bit to difficult for joaquin to do since hes brother died making it, as much as we all would like to see the movie finished or unfinished i dont think there is anyway of finishing it an making it look good without river being the one to finish it, whats done is done.

Hell, I could have done it. I was a spitting image of this guy when I was younger. Of course, I'm 36 now, and gained a little weight, so you can't tell as well. That, and I can't act. Maybe not such a great idea heh.
