has anyone heard a release date for Carandiru in the states? Ive heard so much about it and i would love to see it. I just went and saw City of God last month, and am looking forward to doing the same with this film. So if anyone knows when... Thanks!

It will have probably a limited distribution. The date for this while is February 12 of 2004.

Buy "City of God" on DVD instead of waiting for this cinematic garbage known as "Carandiru".

...and how can you call this one of the best ever made? I thought it was good but it's far from one of the best. I wouldn't buy it either. I'd rent it. Opinions...everyone has one...hence the reason IMDB exists.

And I just saw Carandiru. It is a fantastic movie, it makes me want to go get a job before I wind up a corpse on some bloody prison floor.
