Any other books on the same sort of theme as Carandiru or City of God/Men available in English then?

The book is in Portuguese. I know of no English translation.

I bought the book through a Brazilian site, Somlivre (http://somlivre.globo.com/). I have done business with them many times and consider them to be reliable and reputable. Plus, they have now updated their site to include instructions in English in case your Portuguese is a little rusty. Only drawback is that the shipping to the UK will be expensive.
