No second season for the time being, but...

Hi,

I don't think a similar message has been posted, sorry if it has been. I contacted Teletoon recently, to ask if they were planning to produce a second Undergrads season. I got an answer today:

Hi Félix,

After much careful consideration and a lengthy research process, our Programming Department has reached a decision regarding underGRADS. Unfortunately we will not be proceeding forward with a second season of the series at this time. We realize that you’re probably disappointed by this decision, but please note that the door is not fully closed, as there is always the chance of continuing with the series at a later date. Additionally you might be interested to know that we are looking at the possibility of working with Pete Williams to create another animated series that will hopefully be released in the not too distant future.

Again, thanks for taking the time to share your support for underGRADS with us. We appreciate your passion for animation!

So it's too bad for Undergrads, but I'm happy to know they plan to work with Pete Williams to produce a new series. I wonder what that might be?

Hey consider this: Pete Williams can work on that show, and get paid lots of dough, and gain lots of fame...

And many studios and television stations would want him to create shows...

and he would probably tell them about Undergrads. And I bet we will have our show back.

Yeah, but that's not a matter of days, not even a matter of months. More of years. :P So let's wait, hoping the new show they're talking about will come out soon.

Wow, thank you for doing a thing I always wished I had done ;) at least now we know there's still hope for the best cartoon on earth to make a comeback.

I bet if all of a sudden Teletoon was bombarded with requests for a second (and consecutively a third and fourth)season of Undergrads they would reconsider it. Sort of like what they got when Family Guy and Futurama hit DVDs. So now that the DVDs are out, the demand should (hopefully) increase ten-fold.
I've been waiting over 5 years for new undergrads to come out. We should start a petition or something. Teletoon could not completely ignore a request if there was enough people. Someday they have to continue this series!

wow you actually managed to email teletoon and get a reply, well I was just thinking about how sweet the second season will be. Random note: I used to play alot of sims 2: university and use undergrads characters, that was fun.

It's not going to happen.

Christ the show was done in 2001-2002 season. Everyone has moved on.

It's like Clone High, it's too late for a new season.

let me guess...so they can make one season of his new show and not continue to make a second season just to piss off fans?

i dont get why they could not make a new season, its not like its with real actor, they don't aged since 2002...so all would look the same.

But what about down here in America. We don't get 'TELETOON.' We have our own cartoon stations. Does anybody know about a second season down here?
