Big Boogey Adventure: Thoughts/comments?

I liked it, but I never laughed out loud like I usually do when watching the show. The opening credits rocked, yo.

You tell me a lot of things, but that doesn't mean I have to listen.

It had a bunch of good moments. The opening and end credits were pretty excellent, and there were a lot of jokes that made me laught out loud.
I liked Skarr's appearance (but then again, I usually do).

There were a couple of weird parts (made to sort of enforce the moral or something) which I really didn't like- namely, the part where Mandy stared into the water with shimmery eyes.

I was also ticked that they brought Fred Fredburger back (it seems everybody except for me likes him) and that there were some continual cameos of Number 3.

And... that's it. Yeah.

I enjoyed it, but it wasn't really laugh-out-loud and I was kinda weirded out by Mandy feeling sad for Billy and seeing her actually scream in terror. But it was great to see Fred Fredburger and Dracula again, and I was really surprised to see Irwin kick monster ass! I look forward to the next TV flick (Wrath of the Spider Queen) and the KND crossover (All those kids will look like idiots next to Mandy).

I injoyed it, farting always makes me laugh.

I think I'm hearing things....the side-kick dude of the guy tailing Billy and Mandy(I forget the character's name), I swear that's Mark Hamill doing the voice, I don't see that as a credit to his name here though.

reply

Mark Hamill as Creeper? Can't say I heard him there. But even if it was him, I couldn't tell, considering I only know his voice from Star Wars. 30 years is a long time, and he was only, what, 20-something then? Anyway, I enjoy it when they break down the 4th wall on this show, and the movie was no exception. The musical number was probably my favorite scene, and I hate musicals! (except HSM, but that's another story.) And I LOVE Fred! That guy's a funnier idiot than Billy! And that's sayin' somethin'... He should have his own show. And the endless spoofing! Let's see: Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey (the robots sent to kill Billy and Mandy), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (the kracken), cameos by Darth Vader, the Blob, the Invisible Man, who knows what else! Long live The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy!

Fred Fredburger was funny. They just need a few newer lines. The potty joke should be shelved. As long as they do not try to spin Fredburger off into his own show then that will be cool.

I also agree that there was not many laugh out loud moments. My favorite part that did have me laughing was the scary-o song. It started off lame but when they started with the guitar solo with the monster with the slash hat and Billy was on the top of the ship like it was a huge speaker and the fireworks.... I admit I was cracking up.

I don't know about you guys, but this has to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Fred Fredburger is really annoying, but you have to admit C. H. Greenblatt lends a great vioce to the character. By the way, Greg Ellis plays Creeper.

Unfortunatly, I recently found out that Billy and Mandy has ended post-production, and the final episodes of the show will air early next year.

Verne: We need to get a life.
RJ: It's on my to-do list.

I loved the whole movie... and was thrilled there wasn't /too/ much "gross" humor or whatever. The whole "worst nightmare" scene actually seemed really plausible to me- the movie made more sense than most of the show lol. That's despite the puppet thing... which was awesome! Plus I have to say I'm always happy to see BillyxMandy moments. It's... cute, in its own creepy way.

As for spoofs/references, keep a sharp eye out for Godzilla, King Ghidorah, Gigan, and Gamera in the monster island scene
