Why didn't Billy take the report and go back in time?

Why didn't Billy take the report from his older self when he went to the future with the universal remote control and go back in time and give it to his teacher?Instead he took it and flushed it down the toilet!!!

I should have known those alien maggots booby trapped this sub.

Becuase he's an idiot, he lacks common sense and is too hyperactive and immature to consider such a thing.

I was about to say the same thing. Anything involving Billy and critical thinking is going to fail.

We should learn from our past mistakes, so that we can make new ones.
