I wathed this show out of boredom today. And Billy is *beep* annoying, how can anyone actually stand this show? What the *beep* happened to good kids shows like TMNT, Power Rangers, and Transformers? Now all there are are shows about little retards who do nothing but bitch an making annoying noises.
shareTMNT, Power Rangers and Transformers all share a similar theme. If you grew up on shows like Ren and Simpy, Roccos Modern Life, Invader Zim, etc. then you might enjoy B&M. As far as your statement about Billy, I find him hilarious. To each their own I guess.

I LOVE Billy and Mandy! I am 31 years old and I grew up on the cartoons you just mentioned but I continued to watch Ren and Stimpy, Beavis and Butthead, Daria, Rocko, Angry Beavers, Eek, Zim, ect....
So no its not about what you grew up watching. Its about apreciating great writing and voice acting and truely original characters.

sharemtalface, hit the nail on the head. Billy is definitely like Heifer and Stimpy. I think that's why Billy and Mandy might've been the last cartoon I watched. This was the last show of my childhood, I think. Might have to count Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, though, but I'm not sure which one ended first.

As fot the TMNT, Power Rangers and Transformers: TMNT was great until they did the Fast Forward thing (not my favorite), Power Rangers ICK! and I have actually never watched Transformers so I have no opinion there.

If you can get past the immature jokes... what with the mucus gags etc... Billy can be pretty great. It took me a /really/ long time to warm up to him, but I adore him now XD Just ignore the gross aspect of Billy and focus on his amusing dependance on the others and his occasional moments of profoundness... not to mention when he sings lol.

I'm not joking, i just can't stand the way he acts. The high pitched wailing, doing stupid things for no apparent reason, it's just pointless, i dont find it funny in the least.
I do find shows like Family Guy, Simpson's, Southpark and the like to be hilarious. Although random and stupid, the jokes usually have some wit to them, and the ones that don't manage to be stupidly funny without the damn highpitched noises.
And I have no beef with the VA, he's fricken Alpha from the Power Rangers.
But damn, laughing at Billy's stupid *beep* would be like laughing at a mentally challenged person with and air raid siren on his head, it's the same *beep* thing. It's annoying and sad, but it's not funny.
Im 32 and grew up with 80's cartoons and I'm there brutal I can't watch them at all, way to corney the cartoons from the early 2000's are the best, like this, aqua teen hunger force, zim, family guy, home movies, Fairly odd parents, Home movies, early years of sponge bob, Home movies, futurerama, Courge the corwadly dog, I'm sure I'm missing some. Those cartoons from the 80's such as snorks, ghostbusters, tmnt, transformers, gi joe, gummi bears, he-man, the smurfs etc... Loved them as a kid unwatchable as an adult. There are some exceptions such as early Simpsons, Doug, ren and stimpy, and modern life.
But cartoons from the early 80's are unwatchable IMO.
