9 Lives: The Movie

Garfield His 9 Lives as a movie?

An interesting concept of this buzzed in my mind yesterday.It should be based as a sketch movie like The Meaning of Life, but bookend it with the God segments, like the animated special. However, it should be true and close to the book as possible. Each segment should be differently animated to match the tone of the segment, Lab Animal should be done in a Don Bluth-way, for example. Of course, the changes will probably be little, to try and get between a G or PG. Some moments will have to be toned down, like in the Primal Self segment, the cat should "attack" a beast he sees on TV and then hit his head on the screen, rather than leaping up to maule an old lady. Milk would be considered a substitute in the Babes and Bullets segment, rather than scotch. But, despite toning it down, each segemnt should have it's own unique animation. But, it should be done the old 2-D hand-drawn animation way. Although, some will be done in other creative aspects, the Garden segment should be done by Will Vinton. If anyone has a suggestion, let me know.
