This is one of Jim Davis's most creative concepts, poetic and surreal
Can't say I remember all of it. The Garden was pretty happy go lucky. Diana and the Piano was Sad. Sam Spade, was that one of them? Definitely over your head for a kid, but creative none-the-less. And that's good for kids. Plus a lot of jokes in regular Garfield comics go over a kid's head, but Jim was really tapping into something else in this one.
