shareRDB is more oriented towards involvement of politics and corruption in youths' lives, DCH is revolved around the divine love and how it is not differentiated by age. Personally, both movies are on the totally different levels, but answer to your question is Dil Chahta Hai. It will always remain in my 'Top 5 Movies.'

shareim in love with aamir.. i've had dreams of marrying him.. many many manyYy TIMES.. so what if theres' a 20 year age difference.. anyway theres' no right way to answer this question. seeing as 90 percent of his movies in my opinion are brilliant. rdb is more political, and dch is more light hearted. dch has been my all time favorite bollywood flick ever since i realized what the world 'bollywood' meant. watching rdb just changed my view on bollywood films. it was so amazing, i dont think words could describe it. so some of my favorite things about aamir have always been hwo picky he is with choosing his roles, and how he always manages to pull them off, and how theyr'e all different in their own ways. akaash and dj both characters kind of seem similar because of their playful nature, then serious at the same time. so u can't really compare. both movies were brilliant! rdb affected me more, i dont know if that makes it better or not then dch. but whatever, aamir is king khan and that's all taht matters. :)
sharelol, ur post was funn, but true. I am a big fan of Aamir Khan and i truly think he is the king of "Bollywood". I know this post is almost 2 years late, but i just watched it and was looking over everyone's reviews. lol. it was awesome. as expected of aamir khan. and its totally normal to be in love with a celebrity. my latest crush was deepika padukone from Om shanthi Om. lol.
Aamir is coming out with a movie which is a remake of a Tamil flick. I saw the tamil one, its really awesome. I am sure Aamir will be super awesome in that.
I saw one guy review talking about the homosexual undertones between Akash and Sid. I say that is total bullcrap. Its just friendship and love for each other. I believe friendship is truly great. Some people just misunderstand it for homo love or something. Those who had truly great friendships will understand what i said.

shareI would go with DCH since it was a mature and more focused attempt.It was by far the best and only good Bollywood film I've ever watched and the only one that I liked most.One of the few in an industry that produces loads of crap.Rang De Basanti was not bad but it had a dumb ending.So,I will go with DCH which was from my point of view,the best Bollywood film on my list of only Bollywood films that are actually worth watching.Akshay Khanna's best performance.He really made something out of his character.It was a very nuanced,rich and complex performance.There were strong characters with really good performances.The other two actors were good too but Khanna was the really one who made me felt his feelings.The best scene that really somewhat touched me was when Shalini and AAkash were in the Opera,and Shalini tells him to see beyond the opera and find true love and he sees her.That was really well done.The strange thing is there wasn't enough international recognition for this film.They never made films like this anymore.They just pretty much took the style and made terrible features.This was the first time I felt good when seeing the boys getting the girls.

i'd definitely say RDB. I liked Dil Chahta Hai and all, but the only thing i really liked about it was Akash and then him and Shalini. RDB was a lot more thought provokin, deep and moving.

after watching these two movies for more than 20 times, i still have to decide which is better.
both movies were great.
the songs were very nice in DCH. but the song style, i prefered it in rang de basanti because noone lipsyncs the songs. they were either sung by the true artist himself(title song) or they were just environment.

i love both of em.. RDB is part of my fav films list while DCH is part of me...
my vote goes to DIL CHAHTA HAI
Definitely DCH. RDB seems like a mature extension of DCH with a theme of patriotism woven in the movie to make it 'zara hatke'. Both the movies are trendsetters in their own way.
