Old discussions

There use to be about nine pages of discussions here and now there is barely one, where did all the other pages go? I finally finished watching all the episodes and wanted to read the discussions that now that it wouldn't spoil anything.

IMDb doesn't archive old threads. After a while old threads are deleted. The more active the board, the more often old threads are purged.

Thanks, I guess I should have read the discussions before I finished watching the series.

You could have saved them to your computer. Or a thumbdrive/external harddrive. I've done that with threads that have conversations I want to keep.

How do you manage to save the boards? Do you simply copy and paste them, or there is a way to save the threads the same way we read them online?

reply

You can do both.

ctrl+S gives you the option to save the webpage. If the thread has more than one page you will need to save every page. You can save the pages as a webpage on your harddrive/thumbdrive, or as a PDF.

You can also copy/paste the threads to a document and save it that way. Or you can copy/paste to a different message board, if you like. This way, you can leave out the comments that don't interest you, and keep only what you want.

I do all of these, depending on what I want to keep, and how I want to keep it. I have a 'Twilight' board where I try to save the conversations I enjoyed for safe keeping. You can create a board of your own on Runboard, if you like. If it's just for you, there's no need to fix it up for 'guests.'

Thank you for such a helpful reply!
Wish I had known about this some 3 ou 4 years ago. But is still a valuable information, and when I need to, will follow as you explained.
