Arthur has a dragon, 'Dragons aren't real, guys!'

Did the knights forget they road on the *beep* back of a damn dragon?

Well, if you're talking about Darren's doubt in episode 3, "The Unbeliever", then at this point he hasn't seen Arthur's shield dragon come to life, although Arthur's comment of "maybe dragons do exist in this time" is a little harder to accept, because it's his own shield. Maybe he just thought Merlin created a magic dragon for him from a mythical beast, but still, it is iffy . . .

Maybe the episodes are shown out of order on the DVDs, or perhaps it's just a *beep* show. (Not to say it isn't entertaining.)

The first few episodes are a bit dodgy, I agree. I joined mid-season originally, the first episode I saw was no7, "The Warlord Knight". And the second half of that first season is all right. If you can swallow the premise, of course, and I can understand anyone who can't!

I looked this show up again in late 2010, and watched the first few episodes for the first time, and thought, "I used to enjoy this?" but there are some good ones. "To Save A Squire" and "Viper's Phantom" are especially good.

But the show could have been a little better.

Apart, of course, from the theme tune which is second to none!
