I believe the meaning of the film was of course that last question in the movie. Does Hip Hop have heart? The main female of the movie was suppose to be a metaphore for hip hop. And of course that question was answered in the movie.
I agree with the answer as well. As well as the outcome of our hip hop metaphore too.
I believe the meaning of the film is "So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the pa-shizzle-dizzle."

In my younger and more vulnerable years I would have accepted this film. Unfortunately, I just watched it for free on On Demand and I still can't justify it ever seeing the green-light.
