Most anti-feminist film ever!

*Main character lives of her husband money.
*Falls in love with the guy who humiliated her and treated her like a slave.
*She actually gives into the rape and enjoys it.
*It's the rape that makes her fall in love.
*She doesn't have the strength to stand up against her husband and go after her true dreams.

This movie is an insult to all women!

Pepe was not humiliating her, he was breaking her proud, arrogant, spirit so she could find herself, the women he knew she really was inside. That scene when she was cleaning the cooking bbq grill she finally rebelled him and he said "Finally you are fighting back" He was proud she was defending herself. That is the moment he realized she was finding her true self, not the bitching bossy woman she has become from being corrupt by her husbands money. She found her self worth again apart from her financial worth.

He never raped her. He tortured her as she did to him on the boat. He was giving her, her own medicine so she could feel how she humiliates people all the time. He did not like doing it but knew if he broke her she could some to see him as an equal and fall in love with him the man, rich or poor she would have authentic feelings for the first time in her life. He took her off her pedestal when he pretended to rape her and said he would only take her when she loves him. He said "So I say NO" not until. So it was not rape. He raped her mind which was essential for her to find her true self.

I really don't think you got the point of this movie. A typical feminist would only see the superficiality of this movie and not the deeper meaning.
And before you jump on me for saying this about feminists, my step mother was a founder of a major feminist organization. So I get what you are trying to say but in this particular case you are dead wrong. This man uncovered her true feminist self. He taught her self respect by not needing money to feel superior. He taught her that she is a worthy woman. If you noticed he began to call her princess, meaning she was precious to him. A woman worthy of worshiping and respect and nobility.

He told her now you are back in charge when he fell in love with her. He told her he would do whatever she said he loved her so much. He broke her only to build her up again so she could have true happiness.

I am sorry you don't get this movie and the motives of Pepe's so called "anti-feminist" actions against the woman. It is so far from that. It is a lovely story. Maddona not the best actress for it but I loved the message.

... End of line.
