Mine has to be Ice Cap Zone. It's the most beautiful locale by far, and just thinking about the music gives me chills. In fact, I believe the tune in this level is my favorite music in any game I've played to date.

Launch Base Zone! The level and enemies are so creative and different. I love the progression to the Death Egg that you see in the background. And the music is pretty good too (go go go! go go go! go go go! gogogo go!) although second to Ice Cap Zone.

Honestly all of the zones were pretty good - like far more detailed/expansive than Sonic 2, and they beat most of the zones in Sonic and Knuckles.

Probably Ice Cap, just because of the music...and I love arctic type areas.

Casino Night from Sonic 2. From Sonic 3 I liked Ice Cap. The music sound soothing and I like the graphics.
