Would you rather see it fully CGI, or the characters CGI in a real-life evironment?

Using a actor to play sonic and then making him smaller with cgi like they did with the hobbits

All live action, with real people playing the characters. I want him to begin as Brett Hedges, a guy on the high school track team. "Sonic" is his nickname and he is the fastest runner on the team. Then BANG, he gets into a car accident after the prom. This involves drunk driving. As a result, "Sonic" Brett Hedges becomes paralyzed from the waist down, but his parents are insanely rich so they pay doctors to use some secret new technology to fix his legs. During the procedure, something goes terribly wrong and, after lots of sparks and smoke and crazy movie effects, and maybe a small explosion, the power goes out. "Sonic" Brett Hedges emerges from the wreckage with blue skin and permanently spiked hair. He can now run unbelievably fast, and do other wild things too such as flip into a ball (circular saw style) and roll without even breaking his stride. Keep in mind this looks INCREDIBLY RIDICULOUS on screen. I don't know how the good doctor and the cute little animals trapped inside robots will all come into play, but at least I have his origin figured out. Feel free to add!

I would like only Sonic and the other characters CGI. But Dr. Eggman should be live action. And why has there never been a Sonic movie? What are they racist against blue hedgehogs or something?
shareI would like to see the most of the Sonic characters get CG'd, the only excption going to Dr. Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik, who I think should be physically portrayed by Paul Giamatti.
