Whic one do you like more. I like both but I grew up with Mario so I would say Mario but Sonic is still great.

I'd have to agree. The Sonic games for Genesis felt like the same game to me. The Mario series had more variety.

EDIT: Sonic's cartoon kicked the Super Mario Bros. Super Show's ass though.

Mario was a better character, in that he had more of a back story, but Sonic had better abilities.

Definitely Mario. Sonic gaes for the Genesis were fantastic, but the latest entries into the Sonic franchise have been mediocre at best. Mario made the transition to 3-D much better

Sonic, definitely. I've been a diehard fan all my life, Sonic's games are just too awesome (I even liked the Next Gen one).
