I guess "novo" is "new" in spanish. At least in Portuguese it is.
Probably has do to with expressing the fact that the main character is always "new", always innocent.
ya i found it means new or young also its when a child is born after a siblings death

Actually it is his son, Antoine, who tells him that during his amnesia he is has been a complete "novo" when he finally finds him on the beach.
shareyes, but what does the word "novo" mean in the context of Antoine's line on the beach? I tried looking it up but could not find the meaning...must be a colloquialism?

i dont believe French uses "O" at the end of their nouns or adjectives; they tend to feminise their words with an "e", or leave words without a vowel.

please if you don't now a language at least check in google language tools, new in spanish is "nuevo"...
novo is renew in latin or as someone else said new in portuguese...
you reminded me of an episode of Beavis and Butthead where in tv someone spoke in spanish and Butthead said it was french or viceversa, I don't recall exactly...

Actually the latin term "novo" is often used in Sapnish in the same context than "nuevo"...

As a matter of fact, the only people I've heard them use novo are teachers or doctors (both PhD and MD) refering to the word in latin. Not using it directly in a phrase.
new = nuevo
renew = renovar
ex. El renovo su contrato.
I'm sure in the movie they meant for the latin word.

shareI've read an interview with Jean-Pierre Limosin where he states that the word "Novo", in the context of the movie, is just a word invented by Antoine (Pablo/Graham's son).
But as it was pointed out by another users, Novo also means NEW in Latin and several modern languages like portuguese.
For Pablo/Graham every day is NEW, every affair is NEW, every feeling is NEW, since he can't recollect what happened hours or even minutes before. At least not totally.
