Just checking, but was the scene where she was in the prison for not ratting out the location of the anti-war protestor, real, or was it part of a film?

i think that scene actually occurred in her real life. but also she had scenes in her movies that were very similar, so she blends together those memories in her old age (and therefore they're blended together when we see them). but i'm pretty sure (after watching the movie sooooo many times haha) that her being interrogated and jailed actually happened. you can tell from her conversation with her rival actress in the jail.
