any body notice the similarities if youve seen them? darren aronofsky even bought the rights to perfect blue which was the movie by this director

Now that you mention it I can see some similarities. Chiyoko always searches for someone in her movies and they take place in different time periods; from medieval Japan to the space stations in the future (1500 to 2500 hence the name Millennium Actress as someone explained in one of the other threads). The Fountain also spans 1000 years and Hugh Jackman's characters are always searching for something. Also Genya often plays important part in the movies as well as Tom from the future does in the segment that takes place in 1500 in The Fountain. Another thing I can think of is the importance of the key in MA and the ring in F.

There are a lot of similarities, but frankly I noticed more similarities between this and Titanic.
