Watched it for the 3rd time...

... for last 15 years. And for the first time cried. Guess it's an age thing :)
My wife was pretty confused when saw me crying. In the end it turned out that she fell asleep for a couple of minutes closer to the end. Those were the most important couple of minutes:
a scene where the old man with the scar confesses that he killed the painter and the scene when the doctor says to Tachibana that Chyoko is about to die
I hate when my wife does things like this.
