Actor for Max Payne

I think Kiefer Sutherland would give a great Max Payne. I mean he has the voice and I think he could pull it off better than no one. The hair might need a fixing but apart from that I think it would be my choice

What do you think?!

reply

Did you see Payback with Mel Gibson, hes perfect for the role! But I agree Sutherland would be just as good.

Yeah I saw. I think Mel Gibson would be a godd Max Payne but I think is getting a bit old.

reply

Agreed.

reply

I think James Purefoy (sp?) would do a solid job. I would've said maybe Tom Jane, but he's already done the Punisher so it'd kinda be the same character.

reply

Guy Pearce for Max Payne!

Mark Wahlberg is Max Payne
Source: Variety
November 9, 2007

20th Century Fox has signed Mark Wahlberg to star in Max Payne, a live-action adaptation of the bestselling Rockstar video game that will begin shooting early next year. John Moore will direct.

Variety says Wahlberg is negotiating to play the titular cop who is haunted by the tragic loss of his family and has little regard for rules as he investigates a series of mysterious murders. He finds himself up against an adversary bent on destroying Max and the streets he protects.

The script was written by Beau Thorne. Julie Yorn is producing through Firm Films, along with Scott Faye.

Back in 2002 when I first heard about the possibility of the movie, I said the same thing about Knoxville, on looks alone. I thought the exact same thing!

reply

I´ve always thought Dean Winters is perfect for the job. The man is a Max Payne look-alike!! Just look at the pic of him from rescue me:

Plus I think his overall personality fits the character well, for instance look at Ryan o´Reilly in OZ. Hardcore.

reply

WOW. I was scanning this thread to see if anyone mentioned Winters because I was about to.

I think that he would be a great choice for Max Payne.

reply

I think Eric Mabius, u should look him up on IMDB and also pay attention to how he looks in Resident Evil. Not sure about the acting skill and voice, but he looks the most like Max from the original Max Payne sketches in the video game.

David Boreanaz would be the best max payne

reply

NATE FILLION
I admit, I'm a firefly fanboy and think he'd be great as the shark in jaws. But seriously. I think he's a good pick.

reply

Michael Madsen

He have experience to play Max payne, but he is too old for this *beep*

reply

I always thought Peter Krause from Six Feet Under would make a rather good Max Payne.

reply

Damien Lewis, who played Lt. Dick Winters in Band of Brothers, would be good. Still a youngish man, can't be more than 40. Payne can have some years on him, right. He's a bit of a veteran, right?

i agree with keifer sutherland he's perfect he just has that max payne character as shown in 24. hey even carlos bernard (tony almieda from 24) could do it!

DAMMIT!!!!- Jack Bauer

reply

I hate 24, but I really respect Kiefer Sutherland. He could do very well in the role.

reply

yeah i totally think carlos bernard would be a great max payne i think he looks like him to

reply

James Denton (the guy from Desperate Houswives) would be the best choice, I reckon.

Michael Madsen seems a bit too old for Max Payne. Max shouldn't really by passed the age of 41. I like him and ten years ago, he would have been perfect.

[deleted]

Well, as we speak, Michael Madsen is 49-years-old. Is that the approximate age Max Payne is in the first game?

Me personally? I think Sam Lake should do it.

He may not want to and he most likely won't but he should.

I don't really know what the movies about but if it's based on the first one or before, then I challenge you to name someone better. He can act and who knows the character, his story and his history better than the guy who created him? Not to mention there is no way in hell you can name a guy who looks more like Max Payne than Sam Lake!

reply

My vote goes to Dean Winters.

reply

Clive owen would be good, I posted my recfomendation of Kim Carrey in another thread. Dont think of vanilla Kin carrey but look at the way he portrays the down and out detective in 23, he catches the attitude of payne perfectly.

Imlooking forward to the shoot em up movie openeing next week in the uk and expect owen to rocket back to the top for portrayal of this character.

Gary Sinese

next choice is Clive Owen

"I`M RUNNIN THIS MONKEY FARM NOW FRANKENSTEIN..."

reply

timothy olyphant if he wasn't doing hitman

"I'm givin you pearls here"

reply

thast a great suggestion, i`d rather see him do max payne tan hitman too :(

"I`M RUNNIN THIS MONKEY FARM NOW FRANKENSTEIN..."

reply

Ten years ago I would have said Gary Oldman... That guy can act any character. It would take a heck of an actor to pull it off without f.... up the character and his mental problems and he could definetely pull it off
