Netflix and Remedy should make it a series

I'm sitting here watching Jessica Jones, a series that I could not give a *beep* about, but since I have yet to see Netflix make a mistake, I thought I'd give it a try.

And just like Daredevil, I freaking love it.

If anyone could dust off Max Payne, it's Netflix. Imagine a season of 13 episodes depicting the chapters of the first game, filled in with some detective work and additional stories with Mona Sax and Jim Bravura.
Then the second and final season would depict the events of the second game, yet again filling in the episodes with detective work and a side story for Mona Sax.

We would also get to see what the villains are up to, but only the ones who have been revealed to be a villain.

This would be a perfect way to introduce new fans to the old games and knowing Netflix, it would be filled with all the action, gore and sex that Max Payne is.
With Sam Lake, the writer of the original games, as a co-writer. Making sure that they make it true to the fans.

It would also do to the Max Payne movie from 2008, what Netflix did to the Daredevil movie from 2003; wash it clean from our memories.

Who would you want to direct it?

Honestly, I'm not sure, there's a lot of talented young directors out there, perhaps the guy who directed season one of True Detective doing a couple of episodes.

That being said, there needs to be a lot of focus put in the action to not make it boring.
I'm thinking a one-shot scene where Max is chasing BB through the parking garage, wasting every guy that he throws at him.

How about you, any thoughts?

More important who would be Max Payne? Honestly I think Tom Hardy is perfect.

Tom Hardy would be great! I would also have wanted Mel Gibson 10 years ago.
