this is genuinely bad

i usually have an "off" sense of humour but this wasn't funny at all to me. there were only a few times when i noticed there was a joke, but those jokes had been lifted from other shows. i mean, it's not like the jokes weren't funny, but there are no jokes to be funny. it's like the writers were trying to be funny by being crude but they couldn't pull it off. i was being cynical throughout the entire movie and i got more laughs than the movie did. i don't know why writers think white people using black slang is funny.

here's the running joke: an unpopular white kid is a pimp.

as funny as rape.

ok, look past it being a film that is intelligent, and has a deep plot, and you will find a funny, cute in a *beep* up way movie. i would never out it at my top ten, but it is rather funny, and i for one will watch it again when the time arises that i need a stupid comedy to mak me laugh.

I enjoyed this film immensely. I was excited to see that it was being produced. I had only seen one short on the net, I was hooked on the plot line which is downright outrageous. It is a preposterous concept for a film, an animated film at that, but it works for me. I have to laugh when Weathers says something. He has some lines that fall flat, but some are very freaking funny. I like the two incompetent (retarded?) cops. The vocal talent was amazing for a movie of this caliber. How could they get Bernie Mac, William Shatner, Ludacris, Lil' Kim, Mystikal, Carmen Electra, and Jennifer Tilly in this film? I think that gives this movie some credibility. It's no oscar worthy film, but if you love a story line that is completely over the top and humor that is fast and furious, this cartoon is right up your alley. I've seen it quite a few times and I still love it.

PEACE OUT, BITCHES!

I agree wit Snowmonfon, the guy hu started this isn't thinkin' straight... this was an amazing movie.., it was an excellent movie, with a Pimp twist, which made it all the better. If this movie is bad, I don't wanna see good.

This film is funnier than crap like "American pie"(All the serie) or "The girl next door". People are so hypocritical. This is about pimpin' so what? As if the subject was never shown on screen. What makes you pissed off it's that he is a black pimp and his buddies who will initiate an innocent little white boy.
The main issue is not the vulgarity or nudity (no one is actually naked!) It's again and again a question of race. It reminds me the same kind of comments with Undercover Brother.
Lil'Pimp is not so different from South Park, Daria (where the characters actually fvck or other teen sex comedies). With crude language applied at the situation(white slang and humour when it's needed and black slang and humour when it's needed). Sometimes it is even softer.
They make fun of a supposed black culture, and also if one wants to watch closer(not just with a single point of analysis), the Swiss culture, American suburban way of life...and on,and on, and on. No one has ever said it was 4 children or fragile minds. If this flix the kind of humour is too hard to handle for some kind of people, they may ask themselves about their perception of the world. They have to face the real issues. Because after all, this is just a movie that features exaggerated to make people laugh like all comedies. And a good one actually!!

This had the potential to be very funny but they messed up trying to force issues that were probably still objectionable after all the testings. I'm not sure where they were trying to go with this but it became less and less funny as I watched it.

First it was a mistake to even suggest Lil Pimp turning his own mother out. That's a turn-off right there. Anything involving sex and a character's mother, especially if the character is a child, is taboo and a story killer. I'm far from a prude but that part didn't sit well with me at all.

Lil Kim and Ludacris were useless. Why use rappers as actors or even voice talent? Ludacris has a great voice but he contributes nothing. I don't even know why they let him act in regular movies. If he can't cut it as a cartoon rat, what makes them think he's decent as an actor? They should have used real comedians like Monique or Kim Whitley as the 'ho and Mike Epps or Cedric The Entertainer as the rat. and allow them to ad lib some of their lines to enhance their dialogue and characters. Bernie should have been allowed to go off script a little too. They also should have given David Spade more room to grow his character too. The 20 seconds he was on was funnier than most of the movie.
