Music help?

I have been trying to find the songs used in this film for some time. I know one of the pieces is Tragically Hip's "Fiddler's Green," but the specific song I am looking for is the one used in the opening as well as the paint scene.

Any help (title, artist...) would be appreciated, thanks!

Yeah I'm having the same problem ;-), at first I thought it was Tragically hip but its not, I searched every lyric databank on that one. Something boy chasing butterfly, I think is the title. The guys voice does sound alot like the hipster guy, but maybe it was a solo or collaboration song. Possibly the only person who knows is Sarah Polley.

In case you are interested, I found the song. You were close by looking through tragically hip lyrics banks, it is by Gordon Downie (lead singer?) from his first solo release. Song is called 'Boy Bruised by Butterfly Chase'

thanks for the help.

What is the song that's playing at the very beginning (the opening) of the film? I really like that song.

the song is actually called 'Boy Bruised But Butterfly Chase' off his album called Coke Machine Glow. in the end credits i think it might say it's by Tragically Hip but i couls never tell because it was too small, the credits i mean. the song that's playing while tessa is dancing and bobby's on the couch is definately Edith Piaf, but i don't know what the songs called. does anyone else know the other three?
