I think it'd be cool if we could have a post going where we say which books, out of the ones mentioned in the movie, we have read, and then talk about them.

I don't know chinese but I would guess that Xiao cai feng means Little Seamstress since xiao means little or small.
shareI've read quite a bit of Balzac. Some of it is quite boring, others exciting and horrifying. Cousin Bette, I believe, would be my favorite and it was mentioned in the movie. Old Griot is mediocre.
Madame Bovary (Flaubert) is also pretty good. Those pop into my head.
