A Love Song to Literature

The thrill when they find a suitcase of western novels made me tingle. It was a love song to great literature -- cherishing these books and considering the impact a good book can have on your life.

This is a beautiful love story because it's not just a story about the feelings these two young men have for this young woman -- a woman very different from the girls they've known in the city. This is also a love story about the feelings these three young people have for Balzac.

Every English teacher should see this movie (or at least read the book).
