Lahey overkill end of season 9

Wow, that blue Smurf act was awful, it's still passable as he's possibly mind *beep* and would act retarded but the acting is too contrived and forced.

Agreed, but the writing is likely at fault. All the characters became caricatures. Sad for a show which had so many good seasons.

I thought that it was hilarious, it was the accumulation of all the years of liquor... he was left an alcohol soaked smurf.

I used to think the same way till I watched the latest episodes again, and they really are good, J-Rock never fails "Yo Jules, this aint a 'hotel' its more like a 'hell no - tel'" are awesome,

I thought it was funny but the writing could be quite a bit tighter, clattenberg needs to come back

"how's a fella go about gettin' a holt of the police?" -Karl

I thought it was f'n hilarious.

Earlier in the season, when Lahey and Randy drank all the vodka in the trailer, you could see the corners of their mouths are stained from the booze.

Nobody looks more Smurf than Jim Lahey.

Season 9 was as funny as a US sitcom can be but in Trailer Park Boys' standards, it just did not hold up well at all. It didn't have that realness feel which Seasons 1-7 had. They done fĂșcked up with Seasons 8-9.

I hope Season 10 gets back to its roots but I'm not holding my breath.

At first I really disliked them, j rocs new look through off his character, Julian too swollen looking, and Lahey acting not at all like he did, really turned me off but after watching them more not bad but the original seven were ultimate.

Then there's Julian. I used to love seeing Julian's great muscular body but by season 8 & 9 he became bigger, older, more muscular and probably some fat in there too. Julian's face became bigger and so did his body that's disappointing because he had the perfect face and body during the original seasons.

Given the chance, they should have ended the show by the seventh season because no one can deny that that season finale felt like a series finale. Yet somehow they've decided to keep on going and as such I'll be watching the 10th season.. hope it's good but not expecting it to be as great the original seasons 1-7 were.

Btw, been rewatching the show on DVD and the bonus features include stuff I've never seen before (Netflix only has the episodes themselves).
