Well now the show is done.

I know that the show will go on but with Lucy quitting because of Mike getting arrested the show is not going to be the same. We have now lost 3 original cast members (MJ, Barrie Dunn, and Lucy). How many more can they lose and still think it is OK to continue on? Time to end it boys.

Wow what an ignorant post. She has known these guys for a long time and a lot better than you ever will so maybe she's seen signs of it in the past. Also we don't know her history maybe she's been with abusive men. How the fk is she a witch for sticking close to her beliefs? Mike's the abuser of women here.

reply

I'm sure she's scarred because of her ordeal with Jian Ghomeshi, so of course there's a bias there. But she should have waited until Mike Smith was found guilty in court before resigning—even if Ghomeshi was acquitted and off scott free. Mike Smith isn't Ghomeshi—at least, not yet.

reply

They found out she decided to quit before the incident with Smith Mr. White knight.

She's a nutcase who got exposed in that case. There's emails the hastag loving left didn't even want to touch with her talking all sorts of dirty lovey *beep* for Jian

Gomeshi is a slime ball but Lucy is a jilted lover who gives real victims a bad name and now her denial is making her take it out on everyone.

There's a difference between being arrested and being found guilty, Doc. Maybe she's seen signs of it doesn't make him "the abuser of women here". Maybe she's been with abusive men doesn't mean he must be one too just because he was arrested.

The woman he was with made a statement saying it was a very heated argument, but he didn't lay a hand on her. Other people heard the yelling, called police and they arrested him -- even though she explained that he never touched her.

Looks like you only read "Mike Smith arrested for domestic assault" and moved on to the next story.

reply

The woman who was "abused" has said she wasn't. Lucy is just bitter about the Ghomeshi verdict and quitting was a kneejerk reaction because it had something to do with a woman being assaulted.

Here's what Smith's alleged "victim" had to say about it.

“Mike and I did indeed have a heavy argument but it saddens me the way things are being reported and the way it was handled by the police. At no point did I feel I was in danger, otherwise I would’ve called the police myself, which I did not,” Georgia Ling said.

“The police were called by others not present in the room who mistakenly perceived the argument to be something other than what it was. When the officers arrived I tried to assure them there was no real issue, but they proceeded to arrest Mike.”

Who fking cares about Lucy? She's an ugly lying wench anyway, why would they need her to continue the show? It's about time Ricky upgraded anyway.

That's putting it mildly, OO7

reply

Lucy is an essential part of who Ricky is as a character.

reply

Who cares about Lucy? Oh, I don't know.. Ricky and Trinity.

reply

I've seen every episode and movie and I couldn't give a *beep* about Lucy...the show doesn't need this junky looking whore

I'd love to see TPB go another 10 seasons...

reply

Awwww, I kind of liked her She wasn't holding the show together, to be sure. Bubbles was doing that. Did he really get arrested? But when the boys quit a few years ago, the show went downhill and I lost interest.

reply

very true, she was important long ago when trinity was a young child but now she's nothing, now she's just an eye and ear sore to be honest

but I will say no one played trailer trash as well as lucy

This is hands down my favorite show BUT I only recognize seasons one to seven and a few movies to be legit.

Latest seasons are pretty bad compared.

A lot changed unfortunately in the decade between season 7 and 8.

Watching it now as I write this lol

(Season two episodes two)

reply

Seasons 1-7 were directed by Mike Clattenburg but Seasons 8-10 were by various people so even with different minds it still wasn't anywhere near as good as Clattenburg's work.

If Mike Clattenburg returned and directed Season 11 as the final it would be the much deserved ending the show needs once and for all. Admittedly, Clattenburg did just that for Season 7 finale episode but somehow was brought back again. Typical case of a show doing too good and people in charge wanting to profit from it. Problem is, they don't know what made TPB so good and authentic.

reply

Mike Clattenburg is doing 'Black Jesus' now, which is really a South Central LA version of Trailer Park Boys. It uses a lot of the same jokes and set ups. I doubt he'll go back. I don't think it would really matter, anyway. People seem to forget that Season 7 wasn't very good and neither was "Don't Legalize It".

reply

Hm, I really gotta check out that show "Black Jesus" since it's directed by Clattenburg. And yeah, admittedly "Don't Legalize It" wasn't all that great but it showed that Ricky could handle death which on Season 9 we [viewers] were led to believe that Ricky somehow couldn't. Total bs.

Someone didn't do their job when writing the episode about Orangie's death.

reply

'Black Jesus' is pretty funny, but, like I said, it kind of reuses a lot of material from 'Trailer Park Boys' so there's a lot of deja vu. It's still worth checking out.

reply

if you like trailer park boys you might like "housos"its kinda like tpb but from australia went 2 seasons and a movie its got a ricky, julian bubbles, and even a lucy type

reply

" People seem to forget that Season 7 wasn't very good and neither was "Don't Legalize It". "

Those were two of the funniest things they've ever done. Don't Legalize It is by far their funniest and best movie, and season 7 might be the funniestseason, in the running for sure.

reply

You're welcome to your opinion but you'll find that you're in the minority there. Very few people were liking sesason 7 years ago and I never heard anyone say that they liked 'Don't Legalize It' until you.

reply

well guess there is 2 who liked it then, any trailer park boys is great.. sorry not everyone hates dont legalize it, only seems the trolls on imdb do

reply

Lucy isn't that important to the plot. They could spin this any number of ways. For example, here's something I thought up right now in five seconds: Lucy is sick and tired of Ricky's BS. So she leaves for good (like she is always threatening to). Trinity stays behind because she can't leave her dad. It wouldn't be out of character because she already did something similar and stood up to Lucy for Ricky in the season where Motel was born. So Trinity and the baby stay behind but Lucy is gone. Depressed, Ricky spirals out of control into deeper and deeper humorous criminal situations. Without Lucy to curtail his behavior, he just goes nuts with the schemes getting him and the boys into the humorous trouble. I'm not saying that's a good idea. It might be good, it might be the worst idea ever. All I'm saying is there are an infinite amount of possibilities they could spin it off into. So no reason to panic.

reply

She's honestly the most replaceable of all the cast if you ask me. DeCoutere was good in the role, but the character isn't unique enough to be tied to one actress.

Also, reeeeeeeaal nice of her to instantly dismiss her co-star of 15 years after one arrest with no evidence of violent assault.

"DO NOT WRECK THIS GIGANTIC DOOM."

reply

If all this had happened 5-6 years ago I would have been devastated at the possibility of the show ending. But the last three seasons have been utter garbage, The drunk and on drugs show was abysmal and swearnet was awful too.
To be honest if this is the end of TPB and JPT,Mike Smith & Robb Wells were to go their separate ways I couldn't care less at this point. Anyway it's a moot point, season 11 is coming next year with or without Lucy and will no doubt be as bad as seasons 8,9 & 10.

reply

Robb could do great things on his own and possibly JP too, but Mike Smith? Ehh.

reply

Basically TPB sold out. Seasons 1-5 were great. 6-7 were passable but after that, forget it. To begin with, turning Lahey into a drunk rather than keeping him what he was in the beginning was wrong. Bubbles lost his way also, as he was once the smartest person in the park and now he is is just a moron. Now they sunk as low as to have Snoop, Tom Arnold, Doug Benson (barely heard of him) and Jimmy Kimmell on the show? Time to pull the plug unless they get back to their early days roots. Go back to episodes like the 'The Bible Pimp' and 'From Russia with the Love Bone". That's what made TPB great.

reply

Maybe it would help to think of these new season as an entirely separate continuity? Like, the multiverse theory. After all, season 7 ended with J-Rov and T married with children. Also Ricky, Randy, and Lucy had a baby together. Then season 8 starts up and it's all gone. So are Lucy's "enhancements."

Sure, maybe you will still not like seasons 8-10, but maybe it will help not leave such a bad taste in your mouth if you think of it as an alternate reality. LOL.

reply

Also loved "Mic Assassin" and "A Man's Gotta Eat" the quotes from these episodes are so memorable!

Watching Black Jesus (by Mike Clattenburg) and it's like the true continuation of Trailer Park Boys in a different universe. I'm adoring the show so much and without the beeping it's even better!

reply

It's hardly a loss for her or the viewers since she's kind of an ugly *beep* and she's made a *beep* load of money for being on the show for 10 seasons

reply

By that logic, Game of Thrones should be garbage.
as long as they keep introducing new interesting characters everything should be fine.

reply

yeah i just googled it.. theres is ZERO statements of mike smith being guilty......

talk about jumping to conclusions much>?

all i see is a bunch of statements about how it was all bs

reply

Ok so Lucy quit before the Mike Smith situation from what I've read, like two weeks before. Mike Smith never hurt anyone and that whole thing was just blown out of proportion and the "victim" was quick to make that clear. The idea that Lucy could say she's leaving the show because of that makes me want to say good riddance.

MJ leaving sucked, Dunn leaving really sucked as he's a terrific character, Lucy leaving seems about time.
