Who tried to open the door on the coastal steamer??

Hello. As a big fan of this tv series, I pretty much absorbed it when i saw it on TV 25 years ago. I bought it on DVD biut three years ago, and has now started the annual viewing!! And I have a question, that I didn't get an answer to in the movie.

First time Catherine saw "Freya" (Anna Marie dressed as her mother), was when the coastal steamer (boat) was in the dock in Bergen. It was saif later in the movie to explain "Freya's" appearance that it was Anna Marie, who left the coastal steamer before it sailed from Bergen.

But after the coastal steamer was sailing and Catherine was asleep, a lady hand with a rimg like the one Freya had in the painting, tried to open the door to Catherine's cabin. That means that Anna Marie must have been ON the coastal steamer after it sailed from Bergen, and not leaving the boat before it sailed as said in the movie.

One explanation would be Dr. Albrightsen, but we saw a womans hand (and it might not even be Anna Marie's hand), but no explanation of this event followed. Catherine was asleep, and didnæt notice that someone tried to enter her cabin.

This must be a mistake or a scene they forgot to explain in the story line, or what?

And when Bjørnson, the journalist helping Catherine out, called from "Oslo", you could see the emergency phone number on the wass in the phone box where he rang from, a number to a county close to Ålesund! So he was NOT in Oslo (not that they would fly to Oslo to tape a telephine scene) but I'm amazed they didn't see that those large phone numbers on the wall totally gave them away!

I don't remember it being said that she left the costal steamer in Bergen. But if so then its a flaw in writing. It is definetly Anna Marie...

I have a book based on the TV-series, and Anders mentioned that "Freya" could have left the Coastal Steamer in TORVIK, the last port-of-call before Ålesund and drove to Ålesund. Cathrine saw "Freya" in the cabin corridor only, which she explanis Anders. In sleep, she couldn`t know about the hand on the door handle.

Me and my girlfriend had fun about the local emergency numbers calling from Oslo. They could just have turned the camera a little!!

He he I hear you roarsymfo! Filming and not noticing the emergency numbers of a local place in Sunnmøre are showing when it was supposed to be filmed in Oslo, was bit of a big mistake!! I didn't notice it when first saw it in 1985, but that topic was on everybody's lips the following days!
