3 Tidbits from Wikipedia that makes this preSoat-film stink

Gunter, it turns out, is in fact called Joe and hails from New Jersey - explaining his horrendous German accent. He makes up for his feelings of inadequacy around girls by projecting this false and potentially more exciting persona, though it doesn't seem to work as he manages to bore Courtney the Karate kid earlier in the film. Shortly after this moving revelation Joe is killed by the scorpions.

A subplot towards the start of the film revolves around Yaffi and his brother Sudan sneaking on the plane to carry out the plan that their father died trying to carry out eleven years previous. Their constant praise of Allah and sinister discussions about the plan were perhaps intended as a light jab at terrorism in the days before the attacks on the World Trade Center, since it is revealed that the pair are in fact electricians hoping to sneak into the US without a work permit.

The scientists refer to the scorpions as insects, and the creatures have a queen, though scorpions are in fact arachnids.

Yeah. . .

That stuff is why the movie stunk, not, you know, everything about it.

"Snakes" and "Final Descent" had problems with their applications of physics. Train Snakes had its problems with silly Mayan magic. But it sounds to me like this one has bigger problems than just its complete lack of any real intelligent grasp of taxonomy. I have a hunch the "Queen" thing was taken from "Alien Resurrection," and thrown in just for the heck of it.

I thought this film was a hugely enjoyable piece of blithely silly schlock. It's all so patently absurd and far-fetched, which is exactly why it was so much ridiculous fun.

I write bios, therefore I am.

Glad to see someone else enjoyed it too, it was a lot of cheap fun. I thought the giant scorpion designs were really neat looking as well, much better than any CGI creation from countless other low budget similar creature features.

I really enjoyed this movie as well. Came across it from a website back in the day that reviewed micro-movies. They gave it a bad review, but it sounded really fun so I checked it out. Glad I did, cause its one of my favorite DTV monster movies!

Amen.
