That is correct. King Hongsa in Thai refers to Burmese King Tabinshwehti (1512-1550) of Hanthawaddy Pegu. He was King Bayinnaung's brother in law. King Bayinnaung, or Burinnaung/Burengnong in Thai, (ruled: 1550-1581) is featured in the new epic trilogy "The legend of King Naresuan (2007)".
Tabinshwehti became a commender to Burmese army at the tender age of 13, and succeeded the Hanthawaddy Kingdom from his father at the age of 19. He led several unsuccessful attempts to capture Ayutthaya Kingdom until 1548. Assasinated at the age of 38 by Mon subordinates. Succeeded by King Bayinnaung.
