Sorry if someone has already mentioned this but I have just saw this film for the first time and had to make a comment on the funniest line I've heard in a while. "Why don't y'all go *beep* a tree you hippy b***h".
It occurs when the protestors are at the digging site near the start of the film, it's not really a funny line, it's just the way the Actor/Character delivers it through the bull horn. Even the Actor beside him bursts out laughing.
I missed the first 15 minutes so didn't hear the line spoken. However, it is such an "Australian" thing to say. So while the southern US accents for the most part hid the Aussie accents of the characters, that line to me, surely gives away the "Australia" in the film.
So go *beep* a dead dog ya pack o' mongrel bastards! :-)
That was a funny line. There were a few good ones, like when the coroner has to smoke after a particularly gruesome death and the sheriff asks, "Do you have to smoke?", he says, "Uh, yeah!"
