Is the movie for or against revenge for rape?

Hi, in your opinion, is the movie pro or anti revenge for rape and why/why not?

Granted, it absolutely no doubt showed in every detail how terrible the actual deed of sexual violence is, further boosted by some disturbing and ugly dialogue as well in the scene and other cinematic details and nuances.

But, and this is a spoiler alert, in this movie, in an attempted act of revenge, they actually got the WRONG guy, do you believe in that process, it was saying that vengeance as a result is not the right course of action EITHER, given how the man killed by that fire extinguisher (though he was creepy and unscrupulous in his own way as well) was the wrong one and the actual perpetrator simply got away with it.

Its a movie that also has nothing even remotely resembling a happy ending, not to mention, it was Pierre who killed that guy whilst ironically all the while, he was trying to get Marcus to not follow through his plan and even called him "an animal" in a derogatory way assuming he thinks vengeance is also wrong.

Having said all that, the movie also seems to show how in general ugly and violent pure HUMAN NATURE alone can be and how in life, happy endings rarely happen and we can all get struck by tragedy.

And even though that guy killed by fire extinguisher wasn't exactly good either (he attacked and even tried to rape Marcus), the movie kinda made us want to feel that we shouldn't feel TOO pleased and happy if he dies, maybe it was saying violence in general is wrong and ugly, yes?
