I was going through the board to find some interviews about how they had to prepare for the scene, how many takes it took, how did left Monica feeling afterwards, etc but couldn't find any.

The thought in terms of movie making that was some skilful acting between the actors.

Her husband was Vincent Cassel (Markus) at the time.

Just came back from a showing with Gaspar Noé, and according to him both actors kept on getting the giggles inbetween takes because of the intensity and the violence of the shot.
