what was the most disturbing movie you've ever seen?

for me it would be a toss up between this, there will be blood (which i love), the nine inch nails - happiness in slavery video, and heavenly creatures.

I have seen several over the past few months . Melancholie der Engel is really disturbing. :-0 . A Serbian Film is really shocking.

Probably the original Dutch version of The Vanishing. I regret watching it as I don't care for pointlessly depressing films.

Is There Will Be Blood really as disturbing as a movie like this or similar movies?

reply

There Will e Blood is not evn close to this. That comment really caught me surprise.
As far as the most violent movies that I have seen , this one and "The Passion of the Christ" come to mind

reply

Sharknado, only because of the sheer number of idiots who seem to enjoy it. Disturbing.

It's a toss up between a romantic comedy I was forced to watch once, which had a lot of women talking about their feelings, and a musical I was made to sit through where everybody was singing their words and dancing around in a barn. I still have nightmares about both of them.

TWBB? For real?

I'd have to go Cannibal Holocaust.

The basement scene in Pink Flamingos is the most disturbing thing I've ever seen and I've seen some *beep* Honestly it was harder to watch than the scene where they actually kill the chickens. Started gagging dry heaving when the girl starts throwing up and had to pause the movie. Of course right after unpausing, it shows the artificial insemination.

I love John Waters, don't know how I really feel about Pink Flamingos but I do know that the part of me that was seeking out disturbing films just to be shocked or disgusted pretty much ended there. Nothing has really bugged me since.
