Uma is beautiful
I watched this movie and I have to say, how beautiful Uma is. I've seen her in other films, but she really stood out in this one. She's one stunning woman.
Loved the movie aswell.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally think Uma Thurman's beauty to be one of the most overrated phenomena of the past decade. She is tall, gangly, has a big nose and it looks as though she once had a hare lip. Classically beautiful she is not. But hey, if you like tall, skinny, and gangly, then cool for you. I was one of those people who saw "The Truth About Cats and Dogs" and wondered why everybody kept calling her a "babe". I thought Garofalo was more attractive. Oh, well.
I will say, though, that I think her acting is excellent. I would never put down her work and I personally think that her presence made "Pulp Fiction" that much better. She comes across as intelligent and not a Hollywood bimbo. Now if only we can get people to stop over-praising her limited physical beauty. Call her attractive, but please stop calling her beautiful!
I thought she looked appropriate for this movie. She's sexy, but it's the kind of sexy that seems realistic for a once '80's girl' living in the now in New Jersey (and as a dude from Jersey, it's as accurate as can get for a HBO movie). Her beauty's not over-rated, though I do think there are at least a dozen other women, younger or not, in the movies who look better. Her acting goes above her looks, anyway.
shareShe is beatuful, for sure, but I didn't like her in this movie (well, I don't like 80's. maybe that's because). She looks much much much better in Kill Bill :) But her acting in Hysterical Blindness is wonderful, I agree.

Her eyes, face and legs are the best.
She is tall, indd. 1m83, that is one centimeter more then me, lol.
And yes, het feet are ugly.. i admit that. (Kill Bill 1 scene, in the Pussy waggon)
But in the end I think she's just so cute. :-D

she is pretty but i agree that she is overrated
in "the truth about cats and dogs" i was baffled as to why she was hailed as so beautiful that it distracted me from the plot
i liked her best in "paycheck" where they didn't overdo her beauty, no gratuitous sex scene, and they had her hair pulled back in those cheap, plastic 80s-style clips...perfect for her character and made me like her more
There is a word/thought to describe both Uma AND Juliet... STRIKING.!
