Oh god yet another anti Brit film.

Thing is, listen to the accent of the guards- where are they from?
I am prodestant Scots man who supports Celtic and no lover of anything British but my own (Scotsmen even if they were proddy) would never do this to me.
Even if Northern Ireland was unified with the south (which in my view will sadly never happen) these people will still be killing each other. I believe that if were only true Irish independant freedom fighters in the H Blocks they would have been empty. The vast majority of these men in the jails were brutal thugs who killed women and children without question...

Oh and Captain_Augustus_McCrae shut up you wanka

Badly written and mostly fiction.

It's a well known fact within Northern Ireland that most of the stories that came out of the Maze Prison were lies. Officers had to walk down wings filled with IRA prisoners 30 to 1 on most occasions, while there were attacks on individual Officers at times, you'd think with the treatment dished out, Officers would be lynched every other day.

They change the accents of the Officers on all Maze related films to make them seem out of place and more alien to the viewer, it's straight out of the Sinn Fein propaganda handbook. Yet they seem to forget about the Proxy Bomb, yes that wee chestnut.

The proxy bomb (human bomb) was invented and perfected by the IRA. They'd storm into the home of a local person (mostly Catholics) and hold a gun to the head of the youngest child in the house. The father of the house would then be made drive a car or truck filled with explosives into an army base or checkpoint. And this is an example of one of the lesser crimes these brave freedom fighters were inside the Maze Prison for. Other acts include leaving bombs outside primary schools, kids play parks and packed shopping areas all over the UK.
