Remake?

They're rebooting this thing? They BETTER do it right. I mean I was fine with this one, I actually enjoyed it and thought Charles Wallace was a good pick. Given the circumstances. But I see on Madeleine Lengle's page its set for a 2013 release, I'm thinking it'll go to theaters. I don't really trust Hollywood to make a good adaptation, it may have good effects, but we'll see. We wouldn't want Ms L'engle turning in her grave. God rest her soul.

I'm also guessing if the first one does well they're going to try sequels. There's plenty of good material in the books so maybe we can get a Harry Potter thing going. I hope so.

really? i hope they make them all!! [[& accurately!]] love this series! many waters & an acceptable time were my absolute favorite books when i was little!! i wish i could cast it though..! don't see that going how i pictured lol

reply

I know! I completely agree, but at least this should get people interested in the books again. So I hope it comes to fruition and they make it at least enjoyable. I'm pretty sure you would do a good job casting though

Black on black PF Flyers are a thing of beauty.

Okay, I am almost two years late on this reply, but seriously? They are making a new "A Wrinkle in Time" movie? I will have to look for the details. I noticed that the TV movie did some research in the other books. There is a two second mention of starfish, but they got the Drs Murry names wrong so obviously they did not research into "An Acceptable Time".

If a remake is made, I expect correct first names, right? LOL

reply

Right! Let me know what you find. I haven't kept up with it lately.

Rest in Peace Dwight "Heavy D" Myers, we will miss you!
