Of course I so wish that it had had a bigger budget and release schedule, I'm sure most do, but all that considered ... what a spectacular film. The angel flights in the opening is beyond anything I've ever seen before.
shareThe visuals are gorgeous, it's true, but they DESTROYED the story. The book had so much depth and subtext and hidden meaning... the movie is pap, they skipped huge (and important) parts, dumbed down what they did include, and generally wrecked it. I wish I could bleach my brain to get this garbage out of it.
