Steroid Segment

Just wanted to get everyone's reaction on the piece about the apparent exageration of health risks involved with anabolic steroids. Hopefully, people will hop off the band-wagon now that it has been revealed no evidence links steroids to any side effects other than acne and hair-loss in grown men.

Clearly, more thought should have been given to making the drug illegal. Which was only done after the embarrassing defeat of an American track star by a juiced-up Canadian. Sounds like too much national pride and not enough science was involved with that decision.

Speaking of national pride, does anyone remember when the Soviet Union was still around? They had bearded ladies coming to the Olympics and the Americans would get all upset about cheating, and rightfully so. It IS cheating. Just because it works doesn't make it right. Just because it doesn't guarantee ill-health doesn't make it right. ETHICS COUNT.

Facist government works, too, but do people want to try that again? Oh, wait, maybe I don't want to know the answer to that...
