Roughing it is one of the best made-for-tv movies I have ever seen. Both kids and adults alike will enjoy this wonderful piece of filmaking. The acting is excellent with its allstar cast, the screenplay is sensational (Steven H. Berman was nominated for his Adapted Long Form Screenplay by the WGA for his work on this)and Roughing It conatains all of the elements a movie should, such as comedy, drama and action. I Highly reccommend this film to everyone, go and get it now!

I just saw it on DVD and found it delightful, funny and heartwarming. I enjoyed it thoroughly. It could have been a half hour shorter, though, and not lost any of the positive elements.

Very enjoyable. Great rough and ready characters. But I wish it could have been condensed down to a shorter running time.
