What's the frigging point...

So what was the point of the scene in the gun-range ? Really. Why was it in the movie ? Nothing happened, and nothing in the scene helped the movie along.

And why would Chan walk out on stage and perform, all of a sudden ? What was the reason for that ? Why ?

Idiotic movie. And I don't mind logical leaps in movies if it's entertaining - but this was just insulting.
