Who voiced the pumpkin in the original?

I grew up on the original Halloween treat and one of the things that creeped me out the most was the voice of the pumpkin. Does anyone know who it is and if he's done anything else?

I finally saw the longer version after all these years. It may be nostalgia but I prefer the version with the pumpkin. I saw this before seeing Peter Pan and remember that part being depressing. The only thing I liked better in the longer version were the last two cartoons even though the ghostbusters segment would probably be the only one that would have frightened me as a child.
