Bugs!

Known about this game for awhile and thought it looked interesting. So, I finally decided to play it and was enjoying it, but near the end of one my fights I encountered a bug which unfortunately made me have to quit and load a saved game.

I have all the patches (official and unofficial), and yet I'm still encountering problems after only about an hour of play.

Now I understand one of the reasons why Troika closed. Even Leonard Boyarsky said in an interview that they were being pressurised into putting their games out before they were ready and one really does get that feeling when you play of it having been pushed out the door too early.

For not wanting to repeat what others have said it's flawed but still good and definately worth playing.

I'm sorry to say that I've finally given up on this game. I think it probably had something to do with me playing Fallout 2 for the past few weeks. Well, when I went back to playing Arcanum today it really hit home how wonderful Fallout 2 is and conversely how not wonderful this is. The UI is so much cleaner looking on Fallout 2, which makes gameplay much smoother. There also seems to be more going on in the game.

Arcanum had some interesting things going for it like combining objects to create new ones and the Industrial/Magick setting was interesting, but ultimately the implementation left something to desired.

One last thing which I find puzzling. Fallout had one of the best combat systems around, but Arcanum which uses a similar system because it was made by the same people who made fallout just doesn't feel the same.

i'm sure you need a patch for your brain, because this is a perfect master piece, no man can creat better, and all fallouts can't match it.

i mostly will not be able to answer your reply, since marissa mayer hacked my email, no notification
