Horrible film

So this film is the start of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's legacy of crap. Aks is that rare film that offends on so many levels that I'm not sure where to begin. There's the plot that makes no sense. This is a basic (and I mean basic) cop vs criminal film where somehow the criminal inhabits the body of the cop before dying. And no explanation is given. My fecal matter is more entertaining than this movie.

The characters are ill-written and the casting is bad too. Amitabh Bachchan is geriatric but we're supposed to ignore that and pretend he's a young, hotshot cop who's married to Nandita Das. And Manoj Bajpai is irritating and ugly on normal days - in this film, he's truly hideous and annoying.

The cinematography is awful too and so is the music. Seriously, this film has NO redeeming qualities. How does such a thing get made? And how on earth does that filmmaker get to continue making movies?
