Incubated alien's eyes opening

I can't remember what episode it was in, but I remember the alien in the incubation tube at the groom lake facility opening its eyes at one point as though it were still alive..
No reference was made to this event after it happening.. What's the deal with this? Has the alien just been sitting in there alive but motionless that whole time!?

I think that was in chapter 5 "Maintenance" I know it was the scence where Eric was showing Becky the alien. I wondered about it too. I guess it was suppose to have been in suspended animation the whole time. Do you think Chet knew it wasn't really dead and that's why he thought it was what was keeping track of things for the aliens?

It's just another one of those cheap Hollywood devices for the cool factor to lock the audiences with false premises, though it's likely it was written with *something* in the feeble minds of the writers and the producers saw the cool factor value of it.

Well, I can't remember the date of it.

I'm watching this episode again now. (It's from "Maintainance".) The date afterwards is November 1980. An alien isn't going to survive for 3 decades in a fluid without sustenance and whatever gases it needs to breathe.

It's just a cheap horror-film style gimmick.

I remember jumping when that alien opened its eye.

What's better than get laid while an alien is in the same room watching you? LOL

Well, I wondered about that too. But when they were moving from Groom Lake, there was a crate in the moving fan that implied the Alien was in there and when the craft came alive, it removed that crate, thus making me think the Alien was alive and suspended the whole time.
