shareDamn, I love Manhunter and Red Dragon, also enjoying TV Hannibal - why the hell did I spend years (up until this moment) thinking it was always his nose bitten off. Lips is worse. You've just nudged that scene up to probably-unwatchable-again.
shareMaybe you're thinking of Mason Verger who cuts off his nose and eats it? They didn't even show Lounds after he got his lips bitten or after he gets burned. In the books he is still alive after he gets burned and he asks to talk to Will before he dies. It describes Lounds in detail in his burnt to a crisp state, so I was kind of hoping to see it on screen. I was also hoping to see him after he got his lips bitten off too. Man, if this part freaks some of you out, you really should not watch the television version or the other movies because it is so much worse. I didn't even flinch or feel anything whilst hearing him scream, etc. Lounds is a dirty, lying, selfish, prick. He didn't deserve to die, but like Will I didn't like him, nor feel bad about his death. It was my favorite part in the books.

Well besides biting his lips off, who really knows what other atrocities Dolarhyde did to poor Freddy. When a predator has it's prey comfortably captured, he takes his sweet time devouring it.
